The Earth of The Great Art is not the Earth that we know. On the surface, yes, it appears the same – the same corporations, the same politicians, the same countries. But below the surface is a world of magic. Men and women exist who have pierced the veil of the mundane world and harness ancient powers to command diverse spirits for their own ends. It is a world where magical factions compete for resources and dominance.

But in the end, all their exploits are meaningless, for magic is vanishing forever from the Earth. The Age of Magic is in its last death throes, while the Age of Science is hurtling screaming toward its full power.

These men and women, who harness what arcane forces still exist, are known as Artisans. What good will you accomplish before magic fades away forever? What evil? How will you face the death of that which gives you power?
